Terms of Service
Effective from: 22 June 2026 · Version: 1.0
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service govern the rights and obligations relating to the use of the Swapride portal (the “Portal”). By using the Portal you agree to these Terms.
Swapride is currently a non-commercial project provided free of charge and “as is”.
2. Definitions
- Portal — an online platform for listing and swapping vehicles (cars, motorcycles).
- User — a natural or legal person who uses the Portal.
- Listing — an offer of a vehicle for sale or swap published by a User.
- Wanted ad — a record of a vehicle a User is looking for.
3. Registration and account
Registration is required to publish a listing. The User must provide truthful, up-to-date information and protect their login credentials. The User is responsible for activity under their account. An account may be deleted at any time in settings.
4. Listing rules and content
The User is responsible for the content they publish and its compliance with the law. In particular, it is prohibited to publish:
- false, deceptive or misleading information about a vehicle,
- content infringing the rights of third parties or the law,
- offers to sell stolen goods or items that cannot be legally transferred,
- offensive, hateful, spam or otherwise inappropriate content.
The Operator may remove content that breaches these Terms and may restrict or close the User's account.
5. Nature of the service
The Portal serves solely to facilitate contact between Users. The Operator is not a party to any transaction or swap concluded between Users, does not warrant the condition, origin or characteristics of listed vehicles, and is not involved in payments. Any transaction takes place exclusively between the Users concerned, at their own risk.
6. Disclaimer of liability
The service is provided “as is”, without warranty of uninterrupted availability or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for damage arising from transactions between Users, for listing content, or for Users' conduct.
7. Intellectual property
The Portal, its design and software are protected by applicable law. By publishing content, the User grants the Operator a non-exclusive right to display that content within the Portal for the purpose of providing the service.
8. Account termination
The User may delete their account at any time. The Operator may suspend or close an account for breach of these Terms. Processing of personal data after account deletion is governed by the Privacy Policy.
9. Complaints and dispute resolution
Comments and suggestions may be sent via the contact form. The competent supervisory and alternative dispute resolution authority is the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia, Central Inspectorate – ADR Department, Prievozská 32, 827 99 Bratislava). Consumers have the right to file a proposal for out-of-court dispute resolution with this authority or to use the European Commission's ODR platform.
10. Changes to the Terms
The Operator may amend these Terms. The current version is always available on this page. By continuing to use the Portal after a change you agree to the new version.
11. Final provisions
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Matters not covered by these Terms are governed by the relevant legal regulations.
